StepCity privacy policy
This page covers the StepCity marketing website and the current app implementation in this repository.
Website data
The website is built as a static Astro site. In its current implementation it does not include analytics scripts, ad tags, embedded forms, or tracking cookies.
Step and activity data
StepCity is marketed as a visual pedometer for step goals and walking trends. Before App Store release, this policy and the App Store privacy details should match the final step data implementation. If the shipping app reads step or activity data through Apple permissions, that access should be limited to the city, goal, and trend features described by the product.
App data stored on device
The current app implementation stores interface preferences such as goal target, selected history range, and world audio settings on device so the experience can persist between sessions.
Network services
Based on the current codebase, the app does not include account creation, third-party analytics SDKs, or a remote backend connection.
Third-party links and future updates
If StepCity later adds App Store links, analytics, support tooling, cloud sync, or external services, this policy should be updated before release so it reflects the production behavior.
